By using this website to book our services, you agree to our terms and conditions of service. If you do not agree, do not book with us. If you have any questions about our terms of service, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
Booking Confirmation
Thank you for considering our online booking service! While booking online does not guarantee an immediate spot for your desired date and time, rest assured that we'll reach out to you promptly via email or phone to confirm your reservation.
To secure your cleaning date and time, a non-refundable deposit of $50 will be required. This deposit will be deducted from the total cleaning price, ensuring a seamless process.
Please note that we kindly request a minimum of 24 hours' notice for any changes or cancellations. This time frame allows us to secure jobs for our skilled cleaners and gives us the opportunity to find a replacement job if necessary.
In the event of a cancellation made less than 24 hours before your scheduled appointment, the $50 booking confirmation fee will automatically be converted into a cancellation fee. Please understand that this fee is non-refundable, and a new deposit will need to be made when rescheduling your appointment.
Rescheduling your cleaning is allowed up to 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment with a maximum of 5 reschedules. Please keep in mind that exceeding this limit will result in the forfeiture of your $50 deposit, which will be automatically converted into a cancellation fee.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we strive to provide top-notch service and accommodate your cleaning needs.
Cleaning Crew
Based on the size of your project, we'll be sending in one or two cleaners. Sometimes, if the work is complex or our schedule is packed, we might need to bring in some extra helping hands. But don't worry, we always aim to minimize the number of different cleaners in your home while still making sure our cleaning technicians are well-trained across the board.
We place great emphasis on the quality of our employees. Prior to joining our team, each staff member undergoes rigorous background screening and drug testing. This ensures that they possess the highest level of integrity and are held accountable for their actions. You can trust in our commitment to providing trustworthy and reliable staff for all your cleaning needs.
Right To Refuse Service
We reserve the right to decline or end our service in certain situations like safety concerns, uncomfortable or inappropriate scenarios, presence of weapons, excessive clutter, or if utilities are not connected.
Our awesome employees have the option to leave if they find the home to be extremely dirty or if they feel unsafe or threatened. Also, if you request a cleaning that's unreasonable and our cleaners decline service on the spot, you'll be charged a cancellation fee.
We really value our customers' safety and satisfaction as well as that of our employees, so we want to ensure a positive experience for everyone involved.
Cleaning Day Preparation
Hey there! Our cleaning prices are set based on our cleaners dedicating their time specifically to cleaning. We kindly request that you spend a few minutes tidying up beforehand to make it easier for our cleaners to access the areas and surfaces they need to clean. This includes floors, countertops, tabletops, and more. If you prefer our cleaners to take care of these tasks for you, simply select the "Clutter in Room" option when booking services for those days that you really don't want to clean before hiring a cleaner.
Pets
At GreenerCleaners, we're more than happy to accommodate your furry friends. However, to ensure optimal cleaning efficiency and safety, we kindly request that indoor pet activity be limited. In the event that your pet becomes anxious or poses a safety concern, we reserve the right to remove our employees from your home.
Please note that our diligent technicians are trained to prioritize their safety. Therefore, if they perceive an animal as a threat, they will not enter the premises. We understand that pets may exhibit different behaviors when their loved ones are absent. In cases where our cleaning technician's removal is caused by an aggressive pet, our cancellation policy will be applied.
We value both your satisfaction and the well-being of our staff, so we appreciate your cooperation in creating a safe and enjoyable cleaning experience for everyone involved.
Service Fees
Our instant prices are based on our extensive experience. However, sometimes we may need to adjust the price depending on the actual condition of your house. We want to avoid any surprises, so if we find that the job will require extra time, we'll give you a call to keep you in the loop. If we can't reach you, our crew might have to reduce services to reflect the change in price.
At GreenerCleaners, we reserve the right to reevaluate rates at any time. Our priority is to provide a service that meets your standards, so if we find that the cleaning time significantly differs from the original bid, we'll reach out to discuss any necessary price or service revisions.
Payments
Payments must be made at the time of service by check, cash, or credit card. If you booked online with a credit card, your card will be charged at the time of service. When booking online, we charge a $50 non-refundable booking fee that applies toward your service.
Refund Policy
While we strive to provide top-notch service, we understand that mistakes can happen. If you happen to encounter any issues, shoot us an email or give us a call within 24 hours. We'll gladly fix the error at no cost. Please note that refunds are not available, but we're here to make it right for you.
Recurring Service Discount
After your initial cleaning service, recurring discounts kick in. However, if you decide to skip cleanings and decrease the frequency, your price will increase to match the pricing level for the lower frequency. So, keep in mind that consistency is the key to unlock the best deals!
Rate Increases
If there are any changes to your established service schedule or living situation, such as a remodel, change of address, or a significant addition of furniture, we may adjust your cleaning rate at any time during the year. We want to ensure that our cleaning services cater to your evolving needs.
Lockouts
To ensure smooth service, please make sure our awesome GreenerCleaners team can access your location on the scheduled day. If, by any chance, they get locked out, don't worry, we'll try our best to reach out to you and arrange entry. In case we can't get in touch within 20 minutes of their arrival, we'll have to skip the cleaning and charge a $50 late cancellation fee. We totally understand unexpected situations, but this fee helps compensate our amazing employees for the lost revenue and travel time. To avoid the fee altogether, just provide us with a key or code to get into your home.
Rescheduling and Cancellations
We know how valuable your time is, so we make sure to reserve a specific slot just for you. If something comes up and you need to cancel or reschedule, please give us at least 24 hours' notice. This way, we can avoid any inconvenience and an unnecessary $50 cancellation fee. Thanks for understanding!
Alarm
If you've got a security system at home, make sure it's turned off or give our office a ring with the code and proper usage directions. And if the code changes, give us a heads up to avoid any lockout charges.
Use of Homeowners Vacuum
Hey there! If you have pets in your home, we might need to borrow your vacuum. It's important to note that we won't accept any liability for any damage caused to the unit. Since we're not responsible for maintaining the vacuum, we can't take responsibility for any repairs. This is crucial because if the vacuum isn't working when we arrive to clean your home, we won't be able to vacuum the carpet and hard floor surfaces. Thanks for understanding!
Scenarios We Do Not Clean
Mold removal is a specialty service that is not included in our cleaning services. We may refuse service in the presence of mold to protect the health of our staff. We also can't clean hoarding homes or areas containing any animals & humans' body fluids, blood, feces, vomit, cat litter boxes, bird cages & urine, or excretions. We also do not clean unflushed toilets. In case of a plumbing obstruction, we will not risk a flooding accident.
Unreachable Areas and Heavy Items
For reasons of safety and liability, our cleaners do not clean anything unreachable with anything other than a step stool. We also do not ask our cleaners to move anything heavier than 30 pounds. If you would like cleaning behind a heavy object, please move before the cleaning crew arrives.
Breakage/Damage & Loss Policy
While it is rare, there is a possibility of breakage or damage during the cleaning process. However, rest assured that our cleaners exercise utmost care when cleaning your home. We understand the value of your belongings, especially artwork, collectibles, and family heirlooms, which are irreplaceable. It is important that you disclose these items to us before we begin the service. Please let us know how you would like us to handle your fragile items and we will take every precaution to ensure their safety. In the event of any breakage or loss, please notify us within 24 hours. We strive to provide identical replacements, although it cannot be guaranteed. We carry insurance for any damage or breakage caused by our cleaners, but we are not liable for damage resulting from normal wear and tear or improper installation of items in your home.
Cleaners Arrival Window
We've got a system in place to schedule our cleanings in the most efficient way possible, keeping those prices low and avoiding any annoying trip fees. Of course, if you need a specific time, we'll do our best to work around your schedule. Just keep in mind that we can't guarantee any specific times.
Now, here's the thing - our business can be a bit unpredictable sometimes. Traffic jams, crazy weather, and the occasional mechanical problem can throw things off. That's why we like to have a bit of flexibility with our cleaning schedule. Don't worry though, we won't keep you waiting too long. We generally try not to run more than 30 minutes early or 45 minutes late for our scheduled appointments. Plus, if we do happen to run late, we'll make sure to give you a call or shoot you a text. We've got your back!
Holidays
If your regular cleaning falls on a holiday, we will contact you to reschedule. We do not clean on the following holidays.

Inclement Weather
We reserve the right to cancel service at any time due to unforseen weather and road conditions. If your driveway or road is inaccessible at time of service due to flooding, snow, or ice, we will unfortunately have to cancel service and charge the $50 cancellation fee.
Keys
At GreenerCleaners, we take the security of our clients' homes seriously. Instead of keeping the keys ourselves, we kindly ask our lovely customers to provide a lockbox or secure location to store your key. This way, you can securely store your house key inside the lockbox right outside your place.
Once we're done with the cleaning service, we'll return the key to the lockbox and lock it up tight. Our goal is to ensure the safety of your home while still providing a convenient access option for our amazing cleaning team.
Now, in the unfortunate event that you choose to leave a door unlocked or put the key in an unsecured spot, GreenerCleaners cannot be held responsible for any damages or theft that may occur. Stay safe and secure!
Governing Law
When it comes to any claims about the GreenerCleaners website, the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia will be there to govern, no matter what. We've put in all our efforts to create a website that's not just helpful and informative, but also honest and handy. If there's anything we can do to make it even more convenient for you to find the info you need, please let us know.
